Place a hyperlink call to action in a prominent position in the main body of your website, ensure the hyperlink is easily recognisable, underlined and blue - changing the colour and removing the underline only stops people from recognising it as a link. Ensure the hyperlink is not surrounded by many other hyperlinks, try and convey a single message and use persuasive text which offers something to visitors that they want. Hover Ad Call to Action

Everyone has heard about pop up adverts, they gained notoriety on the Internet because they opened a new window and frankly annoyed people, but why did so many sites (including legitimate sites) use them? Because they worked

Nowadays browsers block pop up ads and their use as both a call to action and an advertising medium is not recommended. However hover ads are an evolution of pop up ads, they do not open up new windows and aren't so annoying to customers, they open up in browsers and aren't stopped by over zealous browser plug ins, they are made to engage the customer and can be programmed in a manner courteous to the customer and the most important thing, they do work, its a new but proven technology.
